
Mr. Henry Geoffrey Hunga
Henry has been working with smallholder resource constrained farmers in Africa, Malawi specifically. He has been promoting sustainable agriculture land and water management and climate smart agriculture approaches among the smallholder farmers. He has been involved in policy advocacy of the same with development partners and non-state actors working in the agriculture sector in Malawi and beyond. Mr. Hunga previously worked on integrated agriculture aquaculture project at the WorldFish Centre where he helped develop the Malawi Aquaculture Gold Standard. His most recent work has on the improvement of both rain fed and irrigated agriculture production through efficient water and nutrient management. He was a visiting scholar at Auburn University’s Department of Fisheries and Allied Aquaculture in the USA and an ambassador at the Gardening for Food Around the World festival at the Disney World, USA. He has a Master of Sustainable Agriculture from Charles Sturt University in Australia and a BSc in Agriculture from University of Malawi.
