Eng. Clopas Rukuni

Eng. Rukuni is currently a Principal Agricultural Engineer, Institute of  Agricultural Engineering, Department of Mechanisation, in Zimbabwe.  Qualifications includes the following:                
  •  MSc in Agricultural Mechanisation, University of Zimbabwe,
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Canfield, UK, 
  • Diploma in Agricultural Machinery, DEULA Germany, 
  • Diploma in Agriculture, Chibero College. Work experience
  • Principal Research Engineer Institute of Agricultural Engineering, 2009 –current. 
  • Engineer Machinery training, Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Department of Mechanisation , 2006-2009. 
  • Farm machinery training officer, Institute of Agricultural Engineering for agricultural extension , 1982-2006.
  • 2000-2002 Team leader Namibia Resource Consultancy training support services  for the privation of government tillage services .  Head of project on Training, promotion, testing and evaluation of CA mechanization for small holder farmers funded by FAO. Achievements
  • Developed training manuals on agricultural machinery currently used for extension  including CA machinery.
  • Developed testing procedures for CA machinery for human, animal and two wheel tractor based systems.
  • Developed  current CA planter with local manufacturers.
