
Cary Clark
Cary Clark is an international online
instructional course designer and facilitator. Her key interests are in the
fields of Conservation Agriculture (CA) for small holder farmers’ land use
and development, and improving English language skills for people writing
reports and intending to apply for places in international universities. She
holds degrees in education and economics from the University of California,
San Diego and the Open University, UK. She has taught face-to-face in educational
institutions in Italy, the UK and the USA. Her career in online teaching and learning
began when she developed the first online course in financial literacy (stock
markets, budgeting and wealth creation) for the World Bank Group staff in
2004 and since then she has developed and facilitated courses for universities
(Reading, UK, Maseno, Kenya), UN agencies (FAO, WB, WFP, AfDB) and the Aga Khan
Development Network (AKF, AKES). She moderates an online learning site for
teachers and young professionals in Afghanistan, Syria and East Africa
preparing to apply for places in universities in the UK, Canada and USA.
Currently, she is working with ACT staff to create and deliver an online
course on the principles and implementation Conservation Agriculture in
Africa.
