i. How do I register?
To register for the Second Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture (2ACCA), click on the following link registration.html and key in your details. Ensure all fields marked with an asterisk (*) are complete, including checking the box ‘I am not a robot’. Click on Register button and you will receive a confirmation email with your login details upon successful registration.
ii. Can I register and pay later?
Yes. You can register and opt to pay later. We encourage you to book your slot by paying well in advance before the congress commences on 9th October 2018 for logistical planning purposes.
iii. Can I register and participate if I am not submitting a paper?
Yes.
iv. What does my registration fee cover?
Registration fee covers access to all congress sessions and events, condensed papers book and other conference materials, a free poster stand for reviewed and approved posters, morning and afternoon tea breaks, lunches and field visit costs only.
v. What is the cancellation policy on registration fee paid?
Registrants who are unable to attend may send a substitute delegate at no extra cost. However, should there be any cancellation you are requested to notify us by email via cacongress@act-africa.org. In case of cancellation the following conditions apply:
- Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fees.
- Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees.
- Registration cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
i. How do I upload a condensed paper?
All papers/ posters will be submitted online. The following steps should be followed in order to successfully upload a paper:- Register for the congress using the link registration.html. Ensure to tick ‘Yes’ against the option ‘Do you want to submit Papers / Posters?’
- Log in to your profile using the login credentials sent to your email.
- On the home page, select ‘Call for papers’ and click on ‘Upload Paper/Poster’.
- Follow the instructions for paper/poster upload.
ii. How long will it take for my paper to get reviewed?
After the submission deadline, we expect the reviewers to be through with all the papers within four weeks, thus you will be able to get the feedback at that time.iii. Can I upload papers/posters if I have not registered?
No, you must first register and indicate that you intend to submit a paper in the registration form.iv. Can I upload papers/posters if I have not paid?
Yes, once you have registered and indicated that you intend to submit a paper in the registration form, you will be able to submit a paper even without making the payment.v. Can I upload more than one paper?
There is no limit on the number of papers one can submit. All papers submitted will be reviewed and appropriate communication or action provided to the authors.vi. Should I send an abstract or the full paper at this stage?
You are required to submit a condensed paper as per the provided guidelines available on: 2ACCA Guidelines for condensed paper submission in English or 2ACCA Guidelines for condensed paper submission (French) in French.vii. How can I confirm that my paper has been received by ACT?
Upon uploading your paper, you will receive an email confirmation.i. Are there field visits?
Yes.ii. What is the charge for field Visits?
The cost is covered in your registration fee.iii. How do I choose a field visit site?
Once the field visit site information is available, all registered delegates will receive an email prompt to select their preferred site.
After receiving email notification, please login to your profile using the credentials sent to your email during registration. Once logged in to your profile, choose the preferred field site as per information provided.
i. Where is the venue for the congress?
The Second Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture (2ACCA) will be held at the Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa. View on Google Mapsii. Is there accommodation at the congress venue?
Yes. The hotel has a capacity to accommodate approximately 600 participantsiii. What are the estimated accommodation rates at the congress venue?

iv. How do I get to the congress venue from the airport?
If being accommodated at the congress venue (Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre), please note that there are free shuttle services to and from the airport. The airport shuttle collects guests from the airport on an hourly basis. The shuttle leaves for the hotel every ten minutes past the hour starting at 06h10 and ending at 24h10.i. Where can I exhibit my products?
There will be exhibition booths provided at the congress venue for those who have made reservations. Please indicate that you require a booth(s) on the online registration form.ii. What is the size of the exhibition booth?
The exhibition booth includes: 3m x 3m space, 1 table, 2 chairs, 1 power outlet and 2 spotlightsi. Can I get full/partial sponsorship?
Kindly note that there are very limited opportunities for sponsorship and these are reserved for keynote speakers, and a few thematic case study writers whose papers will be approved as being among the best.ii. Our organization would like to partner and sponsor the event, what sponsorship and benefits categories are available?
